Vietnam & Korean War Recognition
Vet to Vet Tennessee (V2VT) partnered with our newest Veteran/Military Friendly Congregation to recognize and honor Korean & Vietnam War veterans and their families. Vietnam Commemoration pins and presidential proclamations were handed out during the Sunday service for eligible veterans and their family. Korean War Commemoration Certificate of Honors were presented to four Korean War veterans.
The collaboration was developed because of three Vietnam Veterans: Ray Weiss (Air Force Vietnam Veteran and Crossroads member) & Carlos Rivera (Army LTC (retired) Vietnam Veteran and member of Crossroads UMC) and Jesse Rivera (brother of Carlos and Vietnam Air Force Veteran and one of the original LPG and Council member. We are honored and grateful for their continued service and sacrifice. V2VT thanks Crossroads UMC Senior Pastor Lowell McNaney for his prayers and support. A brief reception was held immediately after the service to honor the veterans and their families.
