FREE In Person Legal Advice-Only Clinic for Veterans

Attention Veterans!! Knoxville Bar Association and Legal Aid of East Tennessee are offering an IN-PERSON Free Legal Advice Clinic on June 10 at the Knox County Public Defender’s Community Law Office.

The next Veterans Legal Advice Clinic event will be held in person at the Knox County Public Defender’s Office on June 10. There is no clinic in May.

Any veteran seeking legal help is encouraged to attend the Legal Advice Clinic for Veterans on June 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In 2026, the clinics are held every other month: February 11, April 8, June 10, August 12, October 14, and December 9. There are no clinics scheduled for January, March, May, July, September, or November.

Veterans who are unable to attend the clinic in person are encouraged to continue using the telephone clinic option. Preregistration is required for the telephone clinic, and veterans are asked to call Legal Aid of East Tennessee at (865) 637-0484 to preregister.

This is a general advice clinic that addresses a wide range of legal issues, including family law, landlord/tenant, bankruptcy, criminal defense, consumer protection, contract disputes, child support, and personal injury, among others.

Please note: This is an advice-only clinic. Clients can expect legal advice, but no wills are drafted at this clinic, nor is any legal work performed.

The VA Integrative Mental Health (IMH) Video Training Series aims to support care providers in their efforts to collaboratively address spiritual and psychosocial needs, build communities of care, nurture integrative practices, and sustain systems of wholistic care. The first in a series of three Bridging Videos from our program addresses the need to consider including spiritual care providers as part of the treatment team to provide holistic, patient-centered care. This video explores the rationale for integrating mental health and chaplain services, presents research findings in the domains of religion, spirituality, and health, and highlights cautionary considerations for interpreting and applying these findings. Many are aware that many Veterans seek healing through faith, and we are seeking to utilize a network of VMFCs to reach those wounded Veterans. We ask you to develop a Veteran ministry within your congregation. We are currently operating in 26 states and expanding daily. As a result of the outstanding success of our "Operation Military Masterpiece” initiative at Brown Middle School in Sweetwater, TN, we have developed a new program, "Ethos Student Art (ESA)." The program is available to middle and high schools in Monroe County and the surrounding Counties. Dr. Amber Patty co-developed the ESA program with Vet to Vet TN.
