Wilson County officials dedicated the new Veterans Park on October 30, 2014 next to the Wilson County Courthouse with the public invited and encouraged to attend.
The Wilson County Veterans Park is dedicated in honor of the men and women who stepped forward and to serve when the country called, according to Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto.
“This will mark a day in Wilson County history,” Hutto said. “We are excited to see the park come together and for the community to be involved with the dedication of this great addition to the County.”
The dedication will feature men and women who have served, are serving and families of those who were in service. MSGT Jesus M. Rivera is a Vietnam and Iraqi Freedom is one of the men featured. Jessie is a member of the Legacy Peer Support Group, Vet to Vet TN and the Knoxville Regional Veterans Mental Health Council.
