Vet to Vet Tennessee has supported The Lost Vets Rescue organization for over three years. The organization was founded by Willie Franklin, who tirelessly supported homeless veterans and their families.
The Lost Vets Rescue moved into the Robert “Bob” Hatley Monroe County Veterans Service Center several ago with the support of Vet to Vet Tennessee.
The main goal of The Lost Vets Rescue is to help homeless veterans in need. They provide emergency shelter, food, clothing, medicine, and transportation to cover the basics. They also focus on helping those affected by PTSD by helping them get counseling and support to heal their emotional wounds. Their mission is to make a real difference in the lives of these brave men and women who have served our country.
Willie Franklin is a real-life big ole saint. Regardless of the time of the day or night, Willie is there to begin the Veterans’ rescue irrespective of the elements or location.
On July 24, 2024, The Lost Vets Rescue received a donor from Vet to Vet Tennessee of $3,000.00. Hank Heise accepted the donation from VTV President Randal Scott on behalf of The Lost Vets Rescue. Bob Goguen, VTVT Chaplain is also a member of The Lost Vets Rescue.
