Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee awarded a 2018 Phase I grant award to Vet to Vet Tennessee (VTVT) for their initiative “Veteran/First Responder QPR Suicide Prevention on June 6, 2018 at the Cherokee County Club.
This grant was made possible because of a referral we received from our accounting firm‘s bookkeeper, Melissa Powell. Thank you Melissa for the recommendation.

Accepting the award was Vern Vargo, Veteran Suicide Prevention Committee Chairman and Ed Junod, President of VTVT. Each grantee is assigned a Trinity Health Foundation Liaison; VTVT was assigned – The Very Reverend John Ross and Joe Johnson.
The Phase I Final Report and Phase II Proposal is due on September 5, 2018. VTVT is scheduled to train at least 10 Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor by the end of August. The Phase II grant is worth $50,000.00. We are grateful to the donors and board members of Trinity for allowing VTVT to proceed with their vision to stop Veteran suicide.
