Repairs for Heroes recipient
Vet to Vet Tennessee launched its Repairs for Heroes program approximately ten years ago to support veterans in need of home repairs. The mission was to provide support to veterans and their families, not only for repairs but also for their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
In June, the Maryville Church (a Veteran/Military Friendly Congregation) in Maryville contacted Vet to Vet Tennessee for help with a 100% disabled U.S. Air Force veteran, Brenda Wallot. She has had six strokes in the last few years and needed to pack up her home and move closer to her family in Michigan.
Numerous volunteers from the church and VTVT helped Brenda for two weeks before her departure on June 30th. VTVT provided all the moving materials and helped cover some of the moving expenses.
Thank you Brenda for you eight years of service and the you Maryville Church for support her. She is “Worth It.”
