On January 13, 2021, the concept to enhance the Bob Center facade was conceived by Vet to Vet Tennessee. One year later, Mission Accomplished!.
What a beautiful display honoring American Heroes on the Robert Bob Hatley Veteran Service Center in downtown Madisonville! The artwork was the result of a National Operation Military Masterpiece art contest hosted by Vet to Vet Tennessee and MACA (Monroe Area Council for the Arts). The winners, both local artists, were recognized and presented with awards by Monroe County Mayor Mitch Ingram. The original winning artwork is displayed inside the building for viewing. Each artist received $3,000.00 from Vet to Vet Tennessee for their award-winning paintings.
Six paintings representing the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard were unveiled while the Armed Forced Medley was played.
“What beautiful ceremony to unveil the local artwork of Operation Military Masterpiece to honor American Heroes from adult and youth divisions. Congratulations… for capturing the six branches of the armed forces in such a beautiful display on the Robert Bob Hatley Veteran Service Center” Monroe County Mayor Mitch Ingram
