“My friends Bob Hatley and Ed Junod
Thank you for the George P. Thomas Award , I am honored. Bob I have known you for many years and every time I see you, you are always actively doing something for the cause to support the Veteran’s. Ed I have just known you for a few years but likewise you are very passionate about helping the American Veteran, men and women no matter their Race or their Nationality. I have saw both of you when you were so tired you could barely hold your heads up, I have talked with you about Veterans with tears in your eyes when a Veteran was in need. You not only help the Veteran when their life has jumped off track, wether it be through the Judicial System or to help pay a bill or help them find employment. But you also help them with the Spiritual needs as well . Sometimes even though we are tough- strong and brave, we to need someone to put their arm around our neck or to hold our hand and to ensure us that we can do anything through Christ. Sometimes it just helps to have a good friend who really understands what they are going through. Saying that you not only have helped with the physical but also the Spiritual needs of the Veteran.
Bob , Ed , let me say it is an honor to call you my friends. Keep up the Great work our County is much better because of you. Your friend Tim Yates.”
Mayor Yates comments reflect his kind and spirit lead heart; his appreciation and honor is for all of the members of VTVT.
