Saint Patrick’s day members and their families of LPG and Vet to Vet Tennessee all had a wonderful treat! We had the opportunity to have a great lunch with a great friend and counseling, Dr. Donald R. Richardson, VA Knoxville Outpatient Clinic Clinical Psychologist.
So blessed that most of the original members were able to celebrate and recognize Doc’s outstanding 11 year VA Career. All you need to do is to look at the faces of his clients!!! Click here to view the party photos.
Thank you Doc for an incredible journey which began with you April 11, 2011 as the clinic’s first PTSD Peer Support Group. The beginning of our recovery, Legacy Peer Support Group (LPG), Knoxville Regional Veterans Mental Health Council (Council), and Vet to Vet Tennessee (VTVT). Alive and doing well thanks to Doc. We know that you are retiring on March 26, 2021 but we know that you are not going away because you are part of our family.
Doc has received numerous awards for his accomplishments including the Council/VTVT George Thomas Memorial Award and the Joseph “JL” Tucker Memorial Award. The Council/VTVT created a new award in Dr. Richardson’s honor; the Dr. Donald R. Richardson Award. Doc is of course the first recipient.
Wishing you good times, good health, and good friends beside you in your retirement. God bless and love you, Your LPG family
