Yesterday we received a referral from Jason Brown, Home Repair Coordinator for Blount County Habitat for Humanity. The referral is for an imminently homeless Navy veteran and his family in Blount County.
Vet to Vet Tennessee, Amvets Post 22 and the Blount County Habitat for Humanity began a pilot veterans home repair program. In less than 30 days the team completed their first project. Click here to read the full after action report.
According to Mr. Brown, the “veteran of the Navy and there home is in rough shape. The house need a roof, there are 2 holes in the side from storm damage and there are multiple flooring issues. There are 5 people current living in the living room. “
Rough shape is an understatement. The home does not look habitable.
Let’s help our fallen comrade get back to living in a safe home.
Please help us by contributing to the Vet to Vet Tennessee Blount County Habitat for Humanity repair program.
We need to start now! Donate your tax deductible contribution to help our Navy brother.
