March 21, 2018 Madisonville, Tennessee
Wednesday we celebrating the graduation of two justice involved veterans from the 10th Judicial District Veterans Court. Army Veteran Michael Mayfield (Monroe Country) and Marine Veteran Gregory Mason (McMinn County) celebrated the event by filing the courtroom with family members and Judge Thomas invited two special guest, Judge Sandra Donaghey, Criminal Court Judge 10th District and Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones. Invited but unable to attend was Michael & Greg’s Helen Ross McNabb Military Services Center Clinical Therapist Tony Weaver.
This is one of the most special moments in the 10th Judicial District Veterans Court history because of the participation and comments of the family members. Wasn’t a dry eye in the courthouse!

We want to thank Judge Thomas for his continuous leadership and support. One of the graduates struggled throughout the program and on several occasions was almost terminated. But the team never gave up on him nor did the veteran. He was given several opportunities to be accountable and improve himself. And with the support & guidance from his Therapist Tony Weaver, Judge Thomas and the Vet to Vet Tennessee mentors, he changed his life style and graduated.
It is truly an honor to serve the brothers and sisters from the 10th Judicial District Veterans Court. Pray and work…for God and Country
