We are three (3) Veteran affiliations working as one volunteer unit to serve those who served in the Military

Knoxville Regional Veterans Mental Health Council

"It's Good To Have You Back America was written and sung by Navy Veteran Terry Lockwood. Council's theme song; JL Tucker's favorite.

What started thirteen years ago as a city-based organization has grown and expanded its programs to over 18 East Tennessee counties. We are still a volunteer group with no paid staff and only donated meetings and office space. Our officers generally pay for their own training or participate in community-based grant-funded training programs.

If you went to see the movie "American Sniper",  then you can start to understand how the war changes the brave men and women who served.  The next mission they encounter is returning  & readjusting at home.  It was the legend, Navy Seal Chris Kyle's veteran advocacy that helped him return to his family to find joy, happiness and love that he lost in the war.

It is only through the generosity and kindness of caring people like yourself that we can provide the services we do.  Your support towards helping us help other veterans is greatly appreciated.

Please contact your patriotic friends and veteran advocates to help us achieve our mission "Leave no veteran behind".

  1. Hello,

My name is Bo Cotten, and I am a medical student at East Tennessee State University. I am working with the Mountain Home VA on a program titled V.I.C.T.O.R (Veterans Improving Connections in Tennessee for Opioid Recovery). The goal of our project is to find and establish events throughout East TN for veterans that encourage community and connection in an effort to reduce veteran relapse and suicide. I was reading about your organizations and all of the amazing events you host. I was hoping that we could discuss ways that we might be able to collaborate. Thank you for your time!
