14, 2015 Judge Ken Goble, Jr. announces the inaugural edition of Montgomery County’s Veterans
Treatment Court (MCVTC) newsletter. I want to start by
thanking the whole MCVTC staff and team for all of their hard work on
behalf of our veterans. I especially want to recognize and thank Katelan
Shartzer for envisioning and starting this newsletter. I hope you can
take time to review them each month. Our goal is to keep you updated on
our progress and educate as many as possible about all of the services
available to veterans in our community. I would also encourage you to
pass them along to others that might be interested. Read more
According to the Department of Veterans Affairs National
Center for Veterans Analysis and Statistics, the Nineteenth Judicial District
veteran population is 30,056 in 2015. Montgomery County – 24,605 Roberts County – 5,451

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) –
Soldiers
convicted of minor crimes are being given a second chance. Montgomery
County is the second Tennessee county to offer a Veterans Treatment
Court after Shelby County. Read more.
Veterans Court comes to Clarksville

Sessions Judge Ken Goble banged his gavel at approximately 1:30 p.m. on
July 17, and the long-awaited Veterans Court became a reality.
The
court is aimed at helping veterans who come to the criminal justice
system as a result of drug addictions, homelessness and other situations
brought on by the ravages of untreated wartime stress. It will also
include some active duty soldiers who end up in the system. Read more.
