Veterans Treatment Court

First Veterans Treatment Court in East Tennessee

Knox Recovery Court now has a special track for veterans in our Knox County Veterans Treatment Court (KCVTC) track.

Representatives from the Knox County Veterans Treatment Court attended the very first National Veterans Treatment Court Conference in December 2013 held in Washington, D. C. Veterans Ed Junod, Dean Powell, Frank Vollmer, and Clyde Young represented the KCVTC.

We especially want to thank the Administrative Office of the Courts for the assistance with the training.

The KCVTC became operational in December 2013 and received its first justice involved veteran on January 10, 2014.

The Knox Recovery Court will continue to provide the evidence-based services to its Recovery Court participants.

  1. I am a mentor in our courts in Hamilton County. I received a call from one of my mentees regarding a friend of his who was arrested in Sevierville. Does your Knox County mentors work in other counties?
