VA has improved the claim process by launching the Decision Ready Claims (DRC) Program.  The program is the fastest way to get your VA claim processed. You can get a decision on your claim in 30 days or less by working with an accredited Veterans Service Organization (VSO).  12-14-17

Expanding the VA Whole Health System.  In 2018, one Flagship facility will be established in each of VA’s 18 VISNs. Flagship sites are fully implementing the Whole Health System, comprised of the Pathway, Well-Being Programs and Whole Health Clinical Care.

“VA Efforts to Prevent and Combat Opioid Overmedication  It is not surprising that, given the prevalence and complexity of chronic pain in the veteran population, overdose deaths among veterans occur at elevated rates when compared to the civilian population.  With increasing opioid overdose deaths,the emphasis has appropriately shifted to opioid dose reduction, increased assessments, and closer monitoring of patients on chronic opioid therapy.   (11/15/17)

 VA Launches Program Aimed at Providing Veterans More Options in Claims Disagreements – WASHINGTON — Today, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced that it will launch the Rapid Appeals Modernization Program, or “RAMP,” with the goal of providing Veterans with the earliest possible resolution of their disagreement with VA’s decision on their benefit claims.  (11/2/17)

 Aimed at strengthening civilian-military relationships, VA and ‘Got Your 6’ Announce StorytellersX Events Across the Nation – On the eve of Veterans Day, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), in collaboration with Got Your 6 and local Community Veteran Engagement Boards, will host a nationwide series of StorytellersX events in November and December, featuring Veterans sharing their stories of post-military life.  (11/1/17)
