AMVETS Post #22 Joins Council

The Sgt. Michael H. Ferschke, Jr  AMVETS Post 22 (Post) is one of the newest post in Tennessee, yet it is one of the most active and productive veterans service organization.

On September 1, 2017 the Knoxville Regional Veterans Mental Health Council acknowledged the extraordinary work and dedication of the leadership & members of the Post.  The Council and the VA believe the Post is an important positive influence in the Blount County and their position on the Council will benefit not only the veterans and their family in Blount County but also the veterans in the VA Mountain Home Healthcare systems in eastern Tennessee. New Celebrate Recovery in McMinn County

September 3, 2017 Englewood, TN

The Englewood Church of God kicked off their inaugural Celebrate Recovery(CR) program Sunday evening.   This the third CR in the Tenth Judicial District in Tennessee and the first in McMinn County.

Senior pastor support from Englewood Church of God’s Pastor Scott and inspired by CR Ministry Leader Starlit Johnson, the Englewood CR began with fellowship and refreshments at 6:15 PM, Worship at 6:45 PM with Biblically-based teachings and music (awesome band), followed by testimony.

Heather Mills was the guest speaker who shared her amazing journey from darkness into light.

V2VT Vietnam War Commemoration Event in Tellico Plains

V13ION and Vet to Vet Tennessee (V2VT) collaborated again for the 7th annual V13ION bike ride in Tellico Plains, TN in honor of Chubbs Lambert.  The annual event offered hope, provide Training, eliminate stigma, raise awareness and most importantly SAVE LIVES…

East Tennessee Foundation Supports V2VT

The East Tennessee Foundation sent a letter to Vet to Vet Tennessee (V2VT) granting an award in support of general operations of the Tenth Judicial TN Veterans Treatment Court program.

Funding for this grant has been provided by the Willson Family Fund established by Mr. Paul G. Willson.

East Tennessee Foundation’s (ETF) field-of-interest and affiliate funds support a competitive grant making process in broad charitable areas including arts and culture, community development, youth-at-risk or a particular East Tennessee county or region (affiliate funds) within the Foundation’s 25-county service area. Since 1986, East Tennessee Foundation has awarded over $237 million in grants through its competitive grantmaking process.
